My Hair Routine

Hiiii!! I wanted to jump on and share my haircare routine with you guys because I get asked hair questions a lot. I do have tape in extensions and have had them for ummmm six years now?? I love them so much and don’t think I’ll ever go back to not having them.

That being said, they are an investment and so I want to take care of them at all costs – so with *that* also being said, my hair routine is lengthy so get out your pen and paper if you’re into this type of ish

Okay, so twice a week I use the Playa Violet Brightening Shampoo to keep my blonde bright and my roots/highlights staying light. One of these nights, I will also do the Playa Healing Hair Masque in place of conditioner to help mend any split ends or damaged strands.

Every other night I will use whatever sounds more appealing at the time – either the Dae Shampoo and Conditioner or the Playa Shampoo and Conditioner. I loooove both, so it really comes down to the scent that I’m wanting that night. High maintenance? Never.

When I get out of the shower, really the only products I use while it’s wet is either the Briogeo Don’t Despair, Repair Leave-In Mask, or the Dae Cactus flower Leave-In Conditioner. Again, kinda just comes down to scent on this one, and I spray it all in my hair before brushing through it with a wet brush.

For styling, first I will use the Ouai Heat Protection Spray (when I remember, trying to be better). The Dae Leave-In has heat protection in it so if I choose that leave-in sometimes I’ll skip heat protectant! Then I style my hair with the Drybar Wrap Party Styling Wand . I’ve been using this wand for like three years now and I am obsessed, no other wand gives me the curls I love like this one does! I also use the little Drybar clips when curling my hair to hold and section with!

Okay post-style is where the routine gets a little excessive, but I can’t help it – I am obsessed. First, I use the Playa Pure Dry Sh if I feel like I need it. (i.e. anything past second day hair) Then, I’ll go in with the Playa Soft Volume Powder, and this is one of my fave beauty products to exist in general. It is so so good and works so so well. I hiiiighly recommend if you’re someone who likes a lot of crown volume like me! Next, I use the Drybar Sparkling Soda Shine Mist. I’ve seen this product on the shelf forever and just never thought to try it, but after it was used on my hair at a Drybar blowout, I was like o m g, sold, give me one. It adds this like really pretty and subtle shine that I really love! Okay last but not least, I always put a little bit of an oil on my ends since I put heat on my hair every day. I have three that I am in love with, yes three. The first one is the Playa Ritual Hair Oil, which again smells like California and is just so good. Then, I have the Dae Prickly Pear Hair Oil, which smells like yes, prickly pear and is such a unique consistency. The Playa one is a true oil, where the Dae one is more of a gel-oil consistency. I also love the Ouai Rose Hair and Body Oil, which I really only use on my hair, and it might be one of my fave scents ever. It’s a really light rose, and it is just so pretty smelling and calming.

To top it off, I spritz three sprays of the Gisou Honey Infused Hair Perfume into my hair because its just a cute little extra thing to do, and it smells like honey and flowers!

I think that covers it, and I know it sounds like a lot – it kind of is- but once it’s all apart of your routine it makes it so enjoyable and fun to do, plus it keeps your hair healthy af! I hope you guys found something interesting that you want to try! Everything is linked and easy for you to find and if you have any questions, always feel free to DM me on Insta, I always try to keep up and respond 🙂
