My Fave Face Masks That Are Actually Worth Buying

Hi guysss! I am really excited for this blog post because it’s all about my fave face masks! I feel like I have tried my fair share of face masks, and these are the ones I keep coming back to and craving to do so I felt like they were def worth mentioning! I’m also going to link the vid I filmed where I go into much more depth on each one, tell you when/how I use them, and then this way you guys can see what they look like as well!

First is maybe my fave – or second fave – or tied with Jet Lag lol – the Ole Henriksen Phat Glow Facial! This is a PHA exfoliant mask, which you def don’t see a lot on shelves, and I adore so many things about this mask. The scent of it is so calming and relaxing, and the texture is this thick and heavy smoothing, almost clay-like formula that’s just so rich. + it’s pink so it makes for a cute mask selfie, duh. This mask really exfoliates and illuminates though, like I really see a glowy difference when I take this mask off and I just love the way it leaves my skin super soft and dewy looking. So for those of you who don’t know what a PHA is, (I don’t blame you there’s not a ton of these out), it’s similar to an AHA but differs in the fact that this molecule is a little “plumper” than your typical AHA. It doesn’t penetrate the skin as deep because it simply can’t fit through the pore, so therefore this is a really good mask for those looking for a more gentle and soft exfoliant. I would still only use this mask-like 2x a week max – but it’s just so so good!

The Farmacy Honey Potion is a loooong time fave of mine, and there’s a reason I keep repurchasing it. This is like my holy grail, save the day, hero hydrating mask when my skin is DRY AF. This is a warming mask that comes in the most luxe packaging. I am obsessed with the glass jar, the wooden lid, the metal spatula, ah all the things. Honey Potion is an uber thick formula, it *literally* feels like honey and it smells, in my opinion, better than real honey. But this is like my fave mask for hydrating, plumping and illuminating the complexion ✨

Another fave of mine is the May Lindstrom The Problem Solver. This is another warming mask that really helps to detox the skin. So if I’m feeling congested or have a lot of breakouts going on, this mask will usually fix it asap. This mask is super fun because it starts as a powder, and you mix it into this face cocktail by mixing it with water – obsessed. There are soooo many amazing ingredients in this mask that I love but I’ll just name a couple of my faves – bamboo charcoal, marshmallow, clay and cayenne. So literally, even if my skin doesn’t totally need this mask, but I’m congested with a cold or allergies, this mask really will help clear your sinuses because it’s such a strong detoxifier.

I’m a huge fan of all the Summer Friday Products, especially their masks. I am in love with the R + R mask because it has just about everything I love in it. It has ground wild rose powder, Bulgarian Rose essential oil, argan oil, safflower, sesame, and avocado oils – excuse me that sounds like the perf mask. It has really small sugar crystals that lightly exfoliate, but it’s still so hydrating and glow you guys I. am. obsessed. The best part is when you remove it, it leaves hydrating oils behind that you can then let soak into your skin and it creates the best glow! I literally can’t rave enough about this one – you actually need it.

This might be my all time fave mask – ever – and of course right now you can’t buy it anywhere and I miss it so much, but it is coming back! The Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask is such an iconic mask and I feel like everyone has tried it by now and if you haven’t – you have to when it relaunches. It’s currently undergoing some reformulation that I guess it just going to make it a bit more gentle? I’m not exactly sure but I never experienced irritation with it – but I am READY for it. It’s the most hydrating, soft, supple mask that has this quenching effect. You can leave this one on or take it off, but it’s just so so hydrating and truly the best mask to do while flying if you are traveling!

This last mask is a newer find for me, but I really love it and feel like it really gets the job done when I’m in a pinch and need a quick med-spa-like treatment at home. It’s the Biossance Squalane + Glycolic Renewal Mask. This mask exfoliates really well for me, so I really only use it when I *need* it, but it also does have that squalene in there to keep my skin hydrated as well. But when I use this, I def get that sting factor and I just feel like it’s really working. It’s honestly not really a cute or even really super enjoyable mask for me, but it def helps when I feel like my skin needs a pick me up. I’ll use this when I feel like my complexion is dull, breaking out, stressed-skin looking, and just in need of some revival.

I feel like all of these masks are so worth purchasing, you really can’t go wrong with any of them and that’s why I wanted to mention my faves because there’s SO many masks to choose from and trust me, I’ve tried a lot of them, and these are just the ones that stick with me and that I keep reaching for and re-purchasing!
